THE FLAT WEAVE COTTON TOWELS Mungo's soft and luxurious flat weave cotton towels are absorbent and soft they are quick drying and compact for easy storage. The subtle textured block rib weave is something to be admired in these beautiful towels. They're versatile; ready for use in the bathroom, alongside the pool or on the beach and what's more they are environmentally friendly. Thanks to their compact nature you can wash twice as many at one time as you could terry towels.
THE BELGIAN WAFFLE WEAVE TOWEL The towel's surface is similarly textured to that of its edible counterpart, resulting in its quirky name. This unique weave not only allows for the towel to absorb water more effectively, but because air is allowed to flow through the towel more easily it also dries faster. Genius! Mungo's Belgian Waffle Towel is carefully hand-woven on an ancient 200 year old loom, using only natural fibers (as opposed to chemically produced fibers). This age-old technique guarantees a durable, lightweight and beautiful product, a perfect transition to those who have not yet tried our flat weave towel. Available in a variety of colour ways the Belgian Waffle Towel is a must-have for every bathroom
MUNGO Bed Linen
The linen fibre is hollow at the core, making it a good insulator. The result being cool in summer and warm in winter. Mungo True Linen has a ‘crisp’ finish and will soften after it’s first wash, building character with time and use. Our linen is grown in Belgium before being sent to the Mungo Mill in Plettenberg Bay. We are proud to be one of just a handful of linen weavers in South Africa.
Linen is a marvel of nature, a hollow fiber insulator and an old world heirloom. Good quality linen bedding is a highly practical and beneficial fabric on which to sleep. Here's why:
Great for the environment.
A superbly absorbent and durable fabric.
The healthier and more comfortable option.
